Death Rattle

This isn't good, but I hope it is something else. My 1982 GTV6 has developed
what I termed the "death rattle". When the car is idling low, there is a
rattling clunking sound that can be heard from the engine area.

Not sure if it is transaxle, clutch, engine or what. I do envision that
there is a loose rod somewhere though. Perhaps my "half empty" outlook on
this car?

Above idle the car runs great- very peppy with no sounds of clunking or
rattling.

Any ideas before I drag her down to the mechanics?

Thanks,
Hopeful in New Jersey

Subject: GTV6 aftermarket wheels

Hey all!

I'm new to the board and would like to thank all with the help on my GTV6
fuel
line issue. Wow, great response! Pinpoint information. I am interested in
thoughts on aftermarket wheels for 82 GTV6 and suitable sizes. I have heard
that custom drilling is needed on most apps. What options do I have?

Again, thanks for all the help!
