Mike, you might try prying off the passenger side A-pillar trim piece. 
There are several very thin wires that run up along that side of the 
windshield, and they often get pinched or chafed enough over time to 
short out etc. You might also want to check your fuse responsible for the 
circuits in question to see if it (they) is (are) blown.
