steering wheel removal

Hello out there,
Can any one give me advice as to how to pull off the steering wheel of a 79m
spider in order to replace the turn signal yoke? I understand that I can get
the wheel off with the use of a craftsman type steering wheel puller, but
how do I take off the plastic hub assembly with out breaking it. Is there
some clips or something? Thanks and I do look forward to your responses,.
