Re: '90 Spider middle muffler

Ken,
I have to agree with Russ' prognosis on keeping the center muffler and
ditching the rear muffler. On my '89 Spider, I have a straight pipe
replacement for my rusted out center muffler and an Alfa Ricambi twin tip
rear muffler. The cat con is stock. The system is loud but not impossible.
However, I plan on upgrading the system at some point in the future to a
freer flowing exhaust manifold, a freer flowing cat con, a turbo-style center
muffler and a straight through rear pipe. I believe this will reduce the
backpressure AND produce a better sound level (ie not too loud and not to
quiet).

Cheers,
Charlie
