RE: Front suspension clunk

Check engine mounts; yes engine mounts. Sagging mounts lower the engine so
the steering arms at full lock, particularly full right lock, can contact
the oil sump. With the power steering, the additional load can be felt with
the pump and the contact can be felt through the steering wheel.
Best to examine on a rack by turning the wheels to full lock. Replace engine
mounts; short term: adjust steering arms to limit amount of lock....happened

Subject: Front suspension clunk

Greetings

My 91 Spider has developed a clunk/bang in the right front suspension when
doing low speed nearly full lock turns. I've looked under there and can't
see any thing obvious. At all other speeds everything seems OK; no
vibration or steering looseness etc.
Suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
Regards
