Processrequest.com

I originally blocked processrequest back before I started keeping these documentation pages. They just changed address blocks to the next one over in exodus space, and provided me with a fresh sample of pink luncheon meat. No sense in complaining to exodus, they won't do anything. I will complain to Snap-On [see followups below for snap-on's response. it was very positive and my boycott of snap-on tools only lasted a couple of days as a result.] I have purchased tools from them in the past, and will make the point that I will not purchase any more of their tools as long as they use known spammers to promote their product line.

Followup from 12/16/2002

Snap-on has responded to my complaint:

Hi Richard,

I got a response back from the e-com group this morning. Hopefully, legal
also had them boiled in oil.

"This is a residual message from earlier in the holiday campaign...we had a
spammer illegally pick up our ad and send it out. Obviously, we are not
working with any spam companies."

I don't understand exactly what benefit accrues to a spammer by picking up someone else's campaign and running it. We'll just have to see.

The following helps clear up what might be going on:

Seems kind of weird to me too on the face of it, but there's a bit more that
might help make more sense. One of the messages we saw had links to sites
that are not ours. You might be interested in knowing that there is a
Chinese knock off outfit that uses our *exact* name and logos.
