anecdote about 2002

Well, I finally sold my 2002 just before the new year. My explicit
instructions? Do not go over 260 miles on a tank because the needle
was inaccurate: about 1/4 tank off. So a week later I got a call
that he'd stranded himself about 2 miles from work downtown and needed
me to jump the car. He ran out of gas and killed the battery trying
to restart it after adding a gallon. Turns out he'd sucked up a gas
filter full of junk from the tank and it plugged up badly. A NEW gas
filter. So much for following instructions.
	Oh, well, caveat emptor.
Now all I have to do is get the '78 323i sold and I'll be set.
