My car had a couple instances under which the engine vibrated more.

1: The crankshaft sensor was on the way out and the engine didn't
run as smoothly as it should. This was accompanied by some occasional
hesitations which eventually started to be a daily occurrence when the
sensor went completely. I through that I felt some power loss with this
problem as well.

2: The clutch was all screwed up (a pivot pin broke and the entire
clutch assembly was skewed a bit) and this put things out of balance.

Does the car show any other symptoms with regard to the way the engine runs
or with the clutch?

The power loss might have something to do with the adaptation that Jim C has
talked about (based on your driving environment and style) or a clogged air
filter, etc...

Some of this power loss might be in your head as well(ie: you're used to the
power that the car has), but I doubt that the vibration is.
