This is the only way to do it. I did it with a long 10" small flat head screw driver. I didn't even remove the grills. It would be easier if you did though. What happens is over time the cord and clamps get sloppy. When you get the hood open, you have to re-adjust the system to operate properly. Take Care, Russ - ------------------------------
