I ran the Toyo RA-1s on my 1987 325iS (225/50/14s on the stock 14 x 6.5 
wheels).  The Toyos seem to like pretty high pressures, but I did not have a 
pyrometer to confirm this.  I ran 40psi hot all around.  After looking at the 
tires, it appears that I probably should have run 45psi hot as they seem to 
have rolled over a bit farther than I would have liked.

As for the tires themselves, they are fun.  They communicate very well and 
have a smooth, progressive break-away point.  They are not as razor sharp as 
BFG R-1's (haven't run the g-forces yet).  Great tire.  

I would have guessed that 225/50 15s would have fit your car.
