M Coupe gas gauge woes

I am having trouble with the gas gauge on the M Coupe. When the gas tank is
full, the gauge would jump from completely full to completely empty with the
warning light on. It would then jump back to full. After consuming couple
of gallons, the gauge would work fine. Any one else having a similar
problem?
