Other than rubbing with a Viagra solution, other fixes I've used have
included simply tightening the screws... the drill method (right, it is not a
panacea but it may be a pancetta)... a heavy rubberband hitching the visor
the top clip... and for the unfixable (in either up or down position), a
heavy duty paperclip bent so that when the top is up it would hold the visor
one way, and if the top is down it could be flipped over, stuck into the
female part of the top latch and hold the visor the other way.

The best solution is to find a new visor that is not beyond the tightening or
drilling methods, because if yours is that gone, the vinyl material is about
to 1) split open at the weld and 2) disintegrate on the sunny side.

Side note: the 71 spider had somewhere in the vicinity of 150k miles on it
when I stupidly sold it and it was 21 years old. The driver's visor was gone
and the passengers side was about to follow it.

The current 91 spider has amazingly over 100k now, do the math for its age,
and both visors are perfect although I am reasonably sure the design and
materials didn't change.

Go figure.
