This may seem like a strange response, but you may want to check it out.
Check to see if the right kind of fuse is in there (should be 4 one for
each light, or at least that's how it is on mine).  Wrong size fuses may
limit the voltage going though.  You never know, give it a try.

I have recently acquired a '90 325iX and I am having a great time with
it.
However, it seems that the headlight system is quite dim.  I have
replaced
all of the existing head lights (sealed beam) and there is some
improvement
but not very great.  Is there a good upgrade kit, system that I could do
to
improve the lighting?
